About Fr. Paul Volmensky
Reverend Paul Volmensky was born in Monterey, California. Upon completing high school and city college there, he entered Holy Trinity Orthodox Seminary in Jordanville, NY, earning a Bachelors in Theology. Father Paul married his wife Susan in 1984 and was ordained to the priesthood in 1986. Since that time he has been Rector of Holy Ascension Russian Orthodox Church (ROCOR) of Sacramento, California. Father Paul and Matushka Susan have been granted six children, and have chosen to educate them from the home. Three of their children are married and two are pursuing post-graduate degrees. In addition to his rectorship of 31 years, Father Paul is the editor of the Western American Diocese website and a contributing editor of the diocesan periodical 'Spiritual Spring'.
