About Presv. Ana Coman, Ph.D.
Presbytera Ana Coman has been married to Fr. Ion Coman for almost 30 years and they have been blessed with two sons. They serve the parish of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California.
Presbytera has been educating her own children and others for the last two decades. She has homeschooled independently, with co-ops, charter schools, school districts, and private homeschool “schools.”
Presbytera Ana has a B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering. She is Montessori certified for Early Childhood Education (AMS) and is certified in Orthodox Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. She is currently a director for Classical Conversations junior high students, where she is a lead-learner for Latin, Mock Trial, and Formal Logic.
Presbytera Ana is passionate about Orthodox education and has been involved in several different Orthodox schooling efforts. She believes the Orthodox faith should permeate all of education and guide our choices in what and how we teach our children.
